Two women died in separate traffic accidents over the weekend on West Virginia highways.
A Sunday morning crash on U.S. Route 50 in Clarksburg claimed the life of a woman in her 80s.
Investigators say the 11 a.m. eastbound wreck may have been caused by a medical condition. The victim lost control of her car; it ran into a ditch and flipped over.
State Troopers in Grant County say a Rig, West Virginia woman died Sunday afternoon when her car was struck head-on by another vehicle.
The wreck happened on U.S. Route 220 near Petersburg. Troopers say Evelyn Snyder, 79, was driving north when a driver heading south crossed the centerline and slammed into Snyder vehicle head-on. She died at the scene.
A third vehicle was also involved in the crash. There were no other injuries.
