You bring up some Great Points.I will resverve my thoughts for another Day and Time.But you are right,we are at a Tipping Point in this program.This year in Done,lets see what Huggs can do Next year.Because we are running out of Next Years.I just Hope Huggs Can Pull it off.Nobody Loves WVU more than Huggs,thats not a question

good story on huggs,,, too bad it emphasises his drinking,,, and the times he has fallen down and hurt himself. plus the heart attack. I just hope drinking isn’t his problem at wvu. It can literally kill you, no doubt, but or BB program has suffered the past few years, seems we are in a downward spiral since beilein’s boys have all graduated and moved on…
something is bad wrong with this team, and tonight, Kstate will beat us by at least 20 , probably over at the tip off but we work hard hustle etc, but most of our players aren’t div 1 level athletes.
we’ve had many problems with recruits, health, grades , drugs ,,nq’s, transfers, players walking off the court, etc.. it’s just been a bad 3 or 4 yrs. and things really look grim now. i don’t know if huggie can save it, i don’t know if that’s his priority, i know he loves wv, but the results just aren’t there… i think our program is at a tipping point, we might win one more game, but that’s iffy,, we are just a lost group of players.

I couldn’t disagree more. I don’t want to hear or read another word about the players. After a pathetic ten-minute stretch of basketball, the excuse is always, “We didn’t compete.” Well, if you can’t compete, I’ve got better things to do with my time.

To paraphrase Rick Pitino, “De’Sean Butler and Joe Alexander are not walking through that door.” Who is walking through that door? A bunch of kids who don’t want to put the time and effort in to be anything better than average. Oh, and don’t lock the door. They’ll probably be late.

Allan,

You know I love your work and have read every single one of your articles but I have a small request…

Can we have more stories about the players and less stories about Huggins? I realize his popularity which surpasses even that of the great Jerry West and yes, a statue will be someday be erected in his honor…

But for now, can we please hear less about Huggins?

The truth is he really needs his own private section…Under Sports, we have WVU, Marshall, High School etc. A separate “Bob Huggins” section needs to be added so that all the Huggins trolls can go to to discuss his greatness.

Just a suggestion, but a very good one because it will attract hundreds of readers.
