The man wanted in connection with an October 2011 shooting in Huntington is behind bars.
Cortland Wilmont was extradited back to West Virginia Wednesday.
Police say Wilmont fled to Detroit after shooting Joshua Ellis in the pelvis during a fight about money Ellis owed him.
Wilmont is charged with malicious wounding. He is in the Western Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
