I agree Doug!! How many other coaches out their act like this? Behavior is awful! His radio pals take up for him. Tired of same ol excuses!! First time in 65 years I’ve refused to watch complete game even when losing!!!!

If we could score points, no one would be bitching. Huggs is a great coach, look at his record. Get off the coach and look at how the players are playing. Mazzulla would take it to the hoop, make the shot, score and get the foul. Who does that now ??

I don’t think Huggs wants anybody to model their life after him. I think he wants to win basketball games. He recruited some guys with good talent but poor, poor attitudes.

My football coach used to tell us ‘if I’m not in your face I don’t give a crap about you. I’m in your face because i want to win and I want you to want to win” there is no doubt in my mind Huggs is the same way.

These kids don’t want to be winners. At least Staten, Hinds, and Murray don’t want to be winners.

Not much more can be said about this team that hasn’t already been said. I do believe that these players aren’t as bad as they have shown. Just about every team that plays a 25+ game schedule shows some improvement at the end of the season. But as a team this one hasn’t shown it. I truly believe this one is on the coach. No question, something has to change. These poor guys look like they’re walking on egg shells out they’re afraid of making a mistake.
It’s obvious the fans are turned off. I’ve never seen attendance this bad at this time of the year. At least not in the last 10 years anyway.

so i suppose we are suppose to model our lives after huggie, ,, now how many times has he fallen down, and exactly why was he fired by UCinn.? He will never be a model for my son .

I bow to Huggins’ basketball knowledge, compared to mine, but must also agree with several posters objecting to his treatment of players. I’ve said this about football coaches as well, that perhaps the thugs on the team deserve that sort of treatment, but I’d like to see some positive reinforcement for GOOD play by the good kids. I don’t know what all needs to be done to correct this uncharacteristically bad season, but I believe there needs to be some effort to get Noreen more involved in the scoring. I’m also tiring of the deliberate slow speed on offense and would like to see good shots taken with time left on the shot clock, rather than taking desperation shots after the shot clock has run down.

Today’s players are too soft.unmotivated. cry babies. Enabled. Smoked too much pot in their teens and basically could care less about success. The Obama mentality. Watch and see the overall qualities of athletes in the next ten years .

for whatever reason, wvu athletics have lost their way.
four football coaches either fired or quit and we get embarrassed by a very average team in our bowl game, and now, the BB team has fallen to it’s knees begging for an NIT bid cause we aren’t capable of beating anyone worth beating.
I think Clemons has to take a long hard look at our AD, our BB coach , and our FB coach.
Plus for the first time in many man yrs. our athletic is in the red and is projected to be so, down the road…
HUM ,,something is just not right at wvu,and as tax payers, i think we deserve answers

nobody deserves that kind of abuse. especially right there in public, on tv, in front of fans and probably their family.
I am ashamed and embarrassed how this grown man acts courtside. It isn’t funny, and it sure isn’t productive.
Oliver Luck needs to take this guy aside ,and have a long talk about that contract.
I am alittle disappointed in Luck for giving him this so called lifetime contract..
whatever,, we as dedicated wvu fans need an explanation as to why he is allowed to continue badgering the team.
If anything, huggins needs to look in the mirror and re examine his own methods,lifestyle, commitment to our BB team
