State and federal investigations continue after the Monday night death in Marion County of a contract worker who was reportedly involved in exploratory natural gas drilling.
It happened at about 6 p.m. near CONSOL Energy’s Loveridge Preparation Plant in Marion County.
The worker was an employee of Omni Energy and Seismic Services. As of Tuesday afternoon, the worker was not being publicly identified.
Reports indicate that worker was crushed under a heavy drilling machine, weighing thousands of pounds.
