A multi-county Sex Offender Compliance Sweep results in numerous arrests.
From January 28 to January 30, the West Virginia State Police conducted a Sex Offender Compliance Sweep that resulted in 14 arrests and 97 pending arrests.
During the sweep, a total of 485 sex offenders were contacted and verified, 139 violations were detected and 101 investigations were generated.
The sweep was conducted in the following counties: Kanawha, Putnam, Wood, Ritchie, Wirt, Pleasants, Clay, Roane, Calhoun, Mason, and Jackson.
