Huntington native Patrick Patterson is an Associated Press All-American. Patterson was one of five players selected to the AP's All-American team on Monday. Sixty-five sportswriters voted on the team.
Patterson started and played in 33 games last season for Kentucky, missing two to injury. He ranks 56th on UK's career scoring list with 1,020 points and was the only SEC player last year to rank in the top five in scoring and rebounding at 17.9 ppg and 9.3 rpg.
