Former Mountaineer safeties coach Bruce Tall has been named the UNC Charlotte’s first ever defensive coordinator. Tall spent five seasons in Morgantown under former head coach Rich Rodriguez, and spent the last three season at Michigan as the defensive line coach.
Tall joins former Mountaineer offensive coordinator Jeff Mullen at Charlotte. The 49ers won’t play their first season until 2013. Tall becomes the fourth coach on the staff with Mullen, James Adams and head coach Brad Lambert. Charlotte will have to wait until next year until they can hire any more coaches on its staff.
