An investigation continues in Taylor County following last Friday’s flash fire at a natural gas well drilling site.

The worker killed was employed by contractor Central Environmental Services. He was identified over the weekend as Brian Hopkins

Hopkins was transferring material from a brine tank to a truck Friday morning when something ignited the material and the flash fire occurred. Hopkins was at the scene to transfer water.

The EQT well site near Flemington produces dry gas.

Both state and federal agencies are investigating. CES is cooperating. The company has started an internal review.

I'm sure this flammable "water" sounds a little strange but the company says they would never harm the environment.
