HS Feature Of The Week: Jake Robinson

It’s been a very impressive year so far for Chapmanville running back Jake Robinson. The senior has rushed for a total of 1,039 yards and scored 16 touchdowns on just 17 carries. Meanwhile, his Tigers jumped out to a 4-1 start through five weeks and number six ranking in Class AA.

"He’s got awful quick feet," said Chapmanville head coach George Barker.  "He gets up in the hole and makes a nice little one-step.  He doesn’t hesitate to cut and that’s what makes good backs."

And Robinson has been plenty-good, meanwhile, for Chapmanville this season.  The senior transfered from Scott High School a year ago.  In week number three, he was up against his old school — the game was decided in a 62-20 Chapmanville domination. Robinson finished with 163 yards rushing and four total touchdowns on just 10 carries.
