The Shootout Is Approaching

For the second year in-a-row, one of the top high school basketball tournaments in the nation is coming to Morgantown. The Remember the Miners Primetime Shootout will take place at University High School on January 21st-22nd.

Morgantown is one of three sites for this tournament that features some of the top basketball prospects in the nation. About 75 Division I prospects will be taking part in the tournament. The tournament is taking place the same weekend as the WVU-South Florida men’s basketball game.

There are a total of four high schools in West Virginia taking part in the tournament: Morgantown, Wheeling Park, Preston and Huntington Prep. The rest of the teams coming from all over the nation include: Thomas Jefferson (NY), Chester (PA), Arlington Country Day (FL), St. Benedict’s (NJ), Quality Education Academy (NC), Our Savior New American (NY), South Atlanta (GA), Christ The King (NY), Columbia (GA), Montrose Christian (MD) and Oak Hill Academy (VA).

Some of the top players competing in this tournament include: DuJuan Coleman, Michael Javes, Quinn Cook, Jordan Adams, Justin Anderson and many more.
