The Frankfort Falcons controlled this game from the beginning and came away with a 70-31 win over Braxton County.
The game was only close at the beginning and then the Falcons used their up tempo offense to pull away with the convincing win. That fast tempo also helped the Falcons force turnovers and they cashed in scoring 32 points off turnovers.
Braxton County was held to only 28 percent shooting and turned the ball over 33 times. The Lady Eagles have a young program and only graduate three seniors. Their leading scorer in the game was guard Taylor Bragg who scored 13 points.
Leading the charge for the Falcons was Madison Shambaugh with 17 points. Also in double figure for Frankfort was Stephanie Bills (12) and Saydi Whiteman (10).
Up next in the semi-finals for the Falcons are the undefeated and 4-time defending Class AA state champion Bobcats of Summers County. That game will Friday at 7:15 p.m.
