West Liberty Heads To The Elite Eight

Top-ranked and unbeaten West Liberty downed visiting Indiana (Pa.) 89-86 Tuesday evening to advance to the Elite Eight.

Corey Pelle led the Hilltoppers (32-0) with 23 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out a team-best four assists.

Chris Morrow came off the bench to net 20 points, including nine from downtown. John Wolosinczuk amassed 13 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and three steals. Alex Falk connected for 12 points while Jordan Fortney hit for 11.

WLU connected on 30-of-60 shots from the floor. The team also hit 21 free throws in the contest.

The Hilltoppers will face Anderson (SC), which knocked off the #1 Augusta State Jaguars in that region.
