The Herd Gets Its Wing

The Herd may be searching for a quarterback for this season, but they may have found its quarterback for the future.

Rowan County High School (Kentucky) quarterback Adam Wing has committed to play football at Marshall. Wing becomes the third overall commitment in the 2012 Marshall recruiting class. He joins fellow commits: offensive lineman Tyler Combs and linebacker Devon Johnson.

Wing is considered one of the top two-sport athletes in Kentucky.

In his junior season, Wing completed 113 of 180 passes for 1,760 yards and 13 touchdowns with only one interception. He also ran for 561 yards and 15 touchdowns. This past basketball season he averaged 13.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

He also received interest from Louisville, Northwestern, Auburn, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Purdue.
