West Virginia Wesleyan’s Barry Franklin and Seton Hill’s Duane Parker have been named the WVIAC’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week:
Barry Franklin, WV Wesleyan
Barry Franklin earned the WVIAC Track Athlete of the Week honor with his NCAA Provisional time in the 3000m steeple this past weekend at Duke. Franklin ran a 9:16.83. Franklin’s time ranks him 14th in NCAA Division II.
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week:
Duane Parker, Seton Hill
Duane Parker earned the WVIAC Field Athlete of the Week honor increasing his NCAA Provisional mark in the triple jump this past weekend at Duke. Parker leaped a distance of 14.66m in the event, moving him into 10th in NCAA Division II.
