Alexander Named All-NBADL

After leading the Texas Legends to the playoffs and having the best season of his professional career, former Mountaineer forward Joe Alexander was named to the All-NBA D-League first team. He averaged 20.2 points and 8.9 rebounds during the regular season.

Alexander joined the Legends at the beginning of the season after he was cut by the New Orleans Hornets. The former West Virginia standout was drafted eighth overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and just completed his third professional season.

Texas was knocked out in the first round of the D-League playoffs, but Alexander played a huge role in getting them there. He helped his team win four of its final five games to earn the eighth and final playoff spot. During that stretch he averaged 26 points per game, including two 30+ point games.
