Pike Commits to Auburn

Dixie Heights High School quarterback Zeke Pike announced today that he has verbally committed to the Auburn Tigers for the 2012 recruiting class. The senior-to-be had 2,135 yards and 23 touchdowns and also ran for just under 1,000 yards and 17 TDs last season.

Pike had previously expressed interest in West Virginia, and at one point, developed a close relationship to offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen.

However, a recent interview with Pike revealed that he and Holgorsen were going in separate directions. The Mountaineers also picked up a quarterback commitment in Ford Childress on April 9.

Pike never took an official visit to West Virginia, but recently went to Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee and Clemson.
