Marshall head coach Tom Herrion received his sixth basketball commitment of the 2011 recruiting class in St. Patrick High School (Elizabeth, N.J.) point guard Chris Martin.
He was being recruited by VCU and UAB. Martin becomes the third player to verbally commit to the Herd in the late signing period. The 6-foot-0 guard averaged 13.5 points per game in his senior season.
