BJ Willard To Serve As Supervisor Of Volleyball Officials

The WVIAC is pleased to announce that BJ Willard will now serve as the Supervisor of Volleyball Officials.

BJ Willard has been an NCAA volleyball official for more than 25 years. She will assume assigning officials for the WVIAC to her current duties in the same role for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), South Atlantic Conference and the USA South Conference.

She has officiated at the NAIA National Championships on three occasions. She was a line judge for men’s and women’s indoor volleyball at the 1996 Olympics.

Willard received her BS and MS from Virginia Tech.

Willard replaces Karen King, who will remain with the WVIAC as the Supervisor of Softball Officials.

“We appreciate everything that Karen has done for the WVIAC,” Commissioner Barry Blizzard said. “She has done a tremendous job with all of her years of service in our league and we are truly excited about BJ coming on board with our conference.”
