WVIAC Announces Tournament Standings

After a wild and hectic weekend of close baseball games, the seedings have been set for the WVIAC Tournament, which will take place May 12-15 at Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley, W. Va.

Seton Hill grabbed the top spot in the North while West Virginia State took the top seed in the South. Pitt Johnstown is the No. 2 seed in the North while Wheeling Jesuit and West Liberty hold down the third and fourth spots, respectively, in that division.

In the South, Davis & Elkins earned the No. 2 seed while West Virginia Wesleyan snagged the third spot and Concord the fourth.

The tournament will be pool play the first three days and the championship game on Sunday, May 15.   

Pool 1 will consist of Seton Hill, Davis & Elkins, Wheeling Jesuit and Concord. Pool 2 will have West Virginia State, Pitt Johnstown, West Virginia Wesleyan and West Liberty.

The tournament gets underway on Thursday, May 12, at 9:30 a.m. with Wheeling Jesuit taking on Davis & Elkins. Game times for each of the first three days will be 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 8 p.m.
