Two Earn Academic All-District Honors

Fairmont State men’s tennis player Fabien Mevs and Shepherd men’s golfer Aaron Stenta have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District II at-large team.

Both honorees were selected to the first team.

Mevs was the WVIAC Player of the Year. A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the senior carried a 3.9 GPA in mechanical engineering.   Stenta, a native of Ridegway, Pa., boasted a 3.89 grade point average as a mathematics major.  

Both will advance to the national Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where First, Second and Third Team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
