Wing Changes To Oklahoma State

The Thundering Herd lose one quarterback in the 2012 recruiting class. The Lexington Herald-Leader is reporting Rowen County (Kentucky) High School quarterback Adam Wing has decided to change his commitment from Marshall to Oklahoma State. Wing is also changing sports and will play basketball for the Cowboys.

The two-sport athlete is one of the top basketball players in the state of Kentucky and this is the only offer he had to play either sport in a BCS Conference. OSU head coach Travis Ford offered Wing the scholarship earlier this week.

Wing committed to Marshall back in April and said the player he models his game after is former Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow.

Trenton Norvell is now the only quarterback in the Herd’s 2012 recruiting class and the class falls to three players. As of now, there will be a total of four quarterbacks on Marshall’s roster at the start of fall camp with A.J. Graham, Eddie Sullivan, Rakeem Cato and Blake Frohnapfel.
