Rodriguez Joins CBS

Rich Rodriguez now knows the next step in his career path.  The former Mountaineer head coach has accepted a position with the CBS Sports Network as an analyst.

Rodriguez will be working games with play-by-play partner Dave Ryan – he’s also expected to make appearances as an analyst in the CBS Sports Network studio in New York.

The move comes after he also worked with the network during its signing day special alongside Tom Lemming.

“Rich is an accomplished, well-recognized coach with a wealth of knowledge about the game,” David Berson, Executive Vice President, CBS Sports and President, CBS Sports Network, said in a released statement. “Rich was an integral part of our Signing Day and Draft coverage. We are excited to add him to our already strong line-up of football talent and look forward to showcasing his analysis and insights during the upcoming season.”

Rodriguez was recently fired from Michigan after going just 15-22 in three seasons with the Wolverines.
