Donald Brown Dismissed From Football Team

Defensive back Donald Brown is no longer with the Marshall football team.
Head Coach Doc Holliday announcing Monday that Brown had been dismissed due to violating team rules. No further details were provided by Marshall.
Brown started all 12 games for The Herd in 2010. He collected 75 tackles, averaging 5.5 per game. Brown also recorded three interceptions for Marshall last season.

The Charleston Gazette reports that Brown was involved in a domestic dispute where he allegedly struck his wife, who was holding the couple’s 11-month-old daughter.

Brown was taken to the Western Regional jail in Barboursville.
