On Monday night, incoming Marshall basketball recruit Devince Boykins had a solid performance in the North Carolina Coaches Association East-West All Star game. Boykins scored 11 points for the West squad in its 100-93 victory over the East.
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard from East Rutherford High School made the go ahead layup with two minutes left in the game. He also had a dunk. Boykins finished his high school career averaging 17.2 points, 13.5 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 3 assists per game during his senior season. He also led ERH to the Class 2A state championship.
