Bosten Miller has been named a 2011 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Miller, who is entering his senior season with the Thundering Herd, has accumulated an overall GPA of 3.65 while majoring in biology.
“I am extremely proud of Bosten being recognized as an All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association,” head coach Joe Feaganes said. “It is a tremendous honor for him and our golf program.”
As a junior, Miller averaged 73.64 strokes per round while recording four top ten finishes. His top outing of the year was a tie for third place at the Ball State Invitational. He also tied for fourth at the University of Cincinnati Invitational, sixth at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate and ninth at the Renaissance Invitational.
Criteria for the honor include the student-athlete posting a GPA of 3.2 or higher, a season stroke average under 76.0 and must be a junior or senior both academically and athletically.
Miller will serve as a co-captain for the team as a senior this season. The Charleston, W.Va. native is the son of Dr. Scott and Patty Miller.
