Marshall University Football Announces Future Schedule Change

Thundering Herd Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick has announced a future schedule change for the Marshall football team.

The home game against Purdue, originally set for 2017, will now be played on September 5, 2015.  It will mark the season opener for the Herd and will also be the first time Marshall has played host to a Big Ten foe.

“We are looking forward to hosting Purdue in our 2015 season opener,” Hamrick said.  “Having a Big Ten opponent come to Huntington to open up the schedule is something our fans really can get excited about.”

Marshall will face off against the Boilermakers in West Lafayette, Ind. on September 29, 2012.
