Pennington Gets New Gig

Former Marshall quarterback Chad Pennington may have found his future after football. Pennington will work as a color commentator for Fox NFL broadcasts this season alongside Sam Rosen.

Pennington spent 11 seasons in the NFL, eight with the New York Jets and three with the Miami Dolphins. He was an unrestricted free agent after spending the 2010 season as a backup to Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne.

During his time at Marshall Pennington led Marshall as it made its transition from Division I-AA to Division I-A, including an undefeated 13-0 during his senior season in 1999 when he also finished 5th in Heisman voting.

Pennington set school records in several passing categories completing 1,026 of 1,619 passes for 13,423 yards and 115 touchdowns, with only 45 interceptions.
