Holliday Hopes To Narrow QB Battle

The mystery of will be starting under center for The Thundering Herd come September 4th is one that is yet to be solved.  However, we should be a bit closer to figuring out who it will be by next week.

“We’ve got to make some decisions,” Holliday remarked following Wednesday’s practice.

Trying to make a guess as to which quarterback has the advantage based on which quarterback is working with the first team is a waste of time.  Holliday is working each quarterback, Eddie Sullivan, A.J. Graham, Rakeen Cato and Blake Frohnapfel in with different units with the goal of getting each as many reps as possible.

“We’ve got a couple more days and we’ve got to start narrowing things down a bit,” Holliday says.

Saturday is the first scrimmage of the preseason for The Herd and Holliday is hoping to be able to determine the who the best two are for the job and begin giving them the majority of reps next week.

“We go like we are now at least until Saturday then we’ll narrow it down to two and go play.”

But don’t ask Holliday who the front runner is right now.

“Right now they’re all in the mix.”
