Leftwich Breaks Arm

Former Marshall quarterback and current Pittsburgh Steelers Byron Leftwich may be out for the entire 2011 NFL season. In Saturday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons, Leftwich broke his arm on a play when he was trying to scramble out of the pocket.

The former Marshall product was the second string quarterback. The Steelers haven’t released a full report on his injury yet. With the injury to Leftwich, backup quarterbacks Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon will get more playing time.
