Custis And Falk Earn WVIAC Honors

Fairmont State’s Steve Custis and West Liberty’s Alex Falk have been named co-WVIAC Players of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Custis averaged 22.3 points in three games for the Falcons. He posted seven rebounds per game while accounting for a double-double in one of FSU’s three games. Custis netted 58 percent of his attempts from the floor en route to a 2-1 record. In the win over Ohio Eastern, he tallied 20 points in 16 minutes. Against UDC, he notched 17 points and 12 boards to go along with three steals. In the win over Bluefield State, Custis amassed 30 points, eight boards and seven assists. The 30-point mark was the second highest single-game total of his career.

Falk helped the Hilltoppers go 1-0 on the week, with the only contest being a win at WV Wesleyan. He turned in a superb performance in the 93-90 win. Falk totaled 21 points, 17 of which came in the second half. He also registered seven boards and six assists. His two free throws with just six ticks remaining on the clock sealed the victory for WLU.
