Seton Hill Falls At Clarion

CLARION, Pa. – Seton Hill dropped a 69-62 non-conference contest at Clarion Thursday evening.

Paige Alviani led the squad with a game-high 23 points. Tiara Stossel added 18 markers to go along with six rebounds and four assists. Anne Marie Olesky notched 10 points while Clare Berenato grabbed 11 of the team’s 33 boards. Alviani also added a game-high five steals.

For the game, SHU hit just 34.8 percent of its shots. The Griffins connected on eight three-point attempts in the game while canning 80 percent of their free throws.

SHU trailed by just two at the break, 29-27.

Griffins Post Win At Grand Valley State

ERIE, Pa. – Seton Hill hit the road and registered a 75-73 victory at Grand Valley State Thursday afternoon.

Chris Giles connected on a lay-up with just four seconds remaining for the game-winning shot. SHU got the rebound on a last-second three-point attempt by Nick Waddell, which missed to give the Griffins the win with no time remaining.

Giles led the victors with 26 points. For good measure, he dished out five assists. Matt Miller connected on seven shots from the floor en route to a 17—point, six assist performance.

The Griffins scorched the nets for 55.1 percent from the field. SHU sank 59.3 percent of its shots in the first half. The squad also buried nine three-point buckets while dishing out 21 assists on the 27 made shots.
