A streak that has amazed the state of West Virginia came to an end on Saturday night. The Scott Skyhawks defeated the Summers County Lady Bobcats 72-55 to end SCHS’s 105 game winning streak.
This streak stands as the longest in West Virginia high school basketball history. Beside Saturday night, the last time the Lady Bobcats lost was on January 30th, 2008 to Parkersburg South.
Summers County has actually defeated Scott in the past two Class AA state championship games. The Lady Bobcats have won the last five Class AA state championships.
During the 105 game winning streak, Summers County has scored 8,814 points and more than 25 percent of their games were against Class AAA schools.
