Childress Named Ford Tough Player of the Year

WVU freshman quarterback Ford Childress is already enrolled at WVU came to Morgantown with a lot of accolades and accomplishments. Now he has one more to add to the list.

Childress was voted the 2011 Built Ford Tough Texas High School Player of the Year in the private school division.

In his high school career, Childress won back-to-back SPC Division I titles, which is the equivalent to a state championship at the private school level. He went 21-1 in two years as a starter at Kinkaid High School. The 6-foot-5 quarterback also threw for 3,588 years and 47 touchdowns in his senior season.
