Marshall Head Basketball Coach Tom Herrion has signed his fifth recruit for the 2012-13 season.
6’ 5”, small forward, Ryan Taylor has signed a National Letter of Intent to play with The Herd. Taylor played for former Marshall point guard A.W. Hamilton at Hargrave Military Academy last season where he averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds per game. Taylor helped lead Hargrave to a 38-1 record and a number 2 national ranking.
“Ryan had a tremendous season playing for coach Hamilton at Hargrave and comes from arguably the best prep school program in the country,” said Herrion.
Taylor, from Indianapolis, Ind. attended Western High School in Louisville, KY before enrolling at Hargrave. At Western, he was named to the 2010-11 Kentucky-Indiana All-Star game where scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
"Ryan is a great addition to our Marshall basketball family,” Herrion said. “We are truly excited to add such a terrific player and person.”
Taylor joins Kareem Canty, Elijah Pittman, Tamron Manning and D.D. Scarver as players that have signed to play for the 2012-13 season.
