Class AA State Baseball Tournament Set

The Class AA high school baseball tournament field is set as all four regional final games were played on Tuesday.  In Region 1, Pt. Pleasant edged Magnolia 6-3 to advance back to the state tournament in its final year in Class AA before moving up to AAA. Eric Roberts went 3-for-3 in the win with a home run and two RBIs for Pt. Pleasant.  He also struck out 11 on the mound as well.

Region 2 saw Liberty Harrison knock out Berkeley Springs, 3-2.  It was just Liberty Harrison’s 10th win on the year, but they’ll still have a shot at a state title.

In Region 3, Wyoming East beat Shady Spring 3-0 and in Region 4 it was Herbert Hoover knocking off Wayne, 7-5.  It’s the first trip back to the state tournament for the Huskies since they won the title in 2007.
