"We just want government to be smart."
And Texas Governor Rick Perry says he thinks Republican candidates like Bill Maloney who is running for Governor in West Virginia would make sure that happens.
"You’ve got to look at Bill’s record, what he believes in," Perry said on Wednesday’s MetroNews Talkline. "This guy is clearly pro jobs, pro life and, very much, a strong believer in fiscal conservatism."
Perry was in Boston on Wednesday morning before a planned trip to Charleston on Wednesday evening to help raise money for Maloney. The Morgantown businessman is running against Governor Earl Ray Tomblin in the November General Election.
On Tuesday, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal visited Morgantown to attend a fundraiser for Maloney.
MetroNews will bring you more from Perry’s visit tonight.
