Mountaineer Gas Customers To Speak

Public hearings begin Monday on a proposed 5% rate increase for Mountaineer Gas customers.

Mountaineer Gas officials filed for the rate increase, which would add up to about $3.40 a month for the average customer, last November.

The public meetings come before a planned PSC evidentiary hearing on the request which is scheduled for July 17th – July 19th.

The hearings schedule is as follows:

Monday, June 25th

6:30 p.m., West Virginia Public Service Commission, 201 Brooks Street, Charleston

Thursday, July 5th

6:30 p.m., Pullman Plaza Hotel, 1001 Third Avenue, Huntington

Friday, July 6th

1:00 p.m., Oglebay Resort & Conference Center, Pine Room, WV 88, Wheeling

Thursday, July 12th

6:30 p.m., Raleigh County Convention Center, Room A, 200 Armory Drive, Beckley

Mountaineer Gas has 217,000 customers in 48 counties.
