Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert is the 8th ranked player in the Big 12 Conference in the Metronews preseason player rankings.
Gilbert is one of the most dynamic players in the Big 12. The 6-foot-0, 194-pound defensive back is known for his speed and his work as a kick returner.
On special teams last season, he tied a school record with two kickoffs returned for touchdowns and returned 26 kickoffs for more than 700 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, Gilbert recorded 59 tackles with fie interceptions and 15 pass breakups.
He and fellow Top 25 cornerback Brodrick Brown helped the Cowboys to the top ranked scoring defense in the Big 12 Conference.
