A Daly Challenge For Greenbrier Owner

The players on the PGA Tour love coming to the Greenbrier Classic. That has become very clear.

Earlier this week, U.S. Open winner Webb Simpson stated on Twitter "the Greenbrier Classic is the best stop on the tour for families."

The players also like Greenbrier owner Jim Justice.  However, they are concerned about his health. Today, after his final round at the Classic, veteran golfer John Daly stated that he and Tiger Woods were going to try to help Justice improve his quality of life.

"Jim is a big guy, we all know that," said Daly in an interview on the MetroNews website. "I am going to give a $100 to his favorite charity for every pound he loses and Tiger Woods is going to do the same. If he can lose weight, he can add 30 years to his life. We care about him. It is about time that somebody does something for him instead of him doing something for everybody else."

John Daly, Tiger Woods and others are throwing down the gauntlet to Justice, a former Tennessee and Marshall golfer.  They hope to come back next year to see a slimmer version of the Greenbrier owner.
