Later this month, on July 27, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games will stage its opening ceremonies in London.
No doubt it will be a festive and glorious night as athletes from all over the world enter the Olympic Stadium in uniforms and native garb. All of the Olympians look so wholesome and athletic and they have incredible smiles on their faces as they are excited to represent their home countries.
You will see the sprinters from Jamaica, distance runners from Kenya, swimmers from Austrailia and basketball players from all over the world.
Near the end of the night, your heart may swell with pride as a large delegation of athletes will come walking in from the United States. They will be inner city boxers from Philly and Detroit, wrestlers from Iowa, gymnasts from Texas and track athletes from the deep south.
The U.S. team will look mighty snazzy in its patriotic red, white and blue Olympic uniforms that were made IN CHINA!!! CHINA!!! That’s right, the uniforms for the U. S. Olympic team were made out of the country in China.
While many in the U.S. are begging for jobs in manufacturing, our Olympic team uniforms were made in China. Are you kidding me? This is a team of American athletes, representing the USA, wearing the red, white and blue and the unifoms are made in China.
It is unbelievable. And should be unacceptable.
