A house explosion in Putnam County Monday afternoon sends two people to the hospital.
Putnam County Dispatchers say the explosion happened around 4 p.m. Monday at a house on Martin’s Branch Road just off Route 60 near Hurricane.
A man and a woman was hurt in the explosion. The man was sent to the hospital by ambulance and the woman was air lifted with severe life-threatening burns to her body
Firefighters suspect the explosion might have been due to a meth lab in the house but the cause has not been determined. The West Virginia State Fire Marshal continues to investigate the incident.
