Alleged Kanawha Bank Robber Arrested

A woman wanted for robbing a Kanawha County bank is now behind bars.

Jennifer Garretson, 37, from Belle was arrested on Saturday. She is charged with first degree robbery after allegedly holding up the City National Bank in Glasgow back on Friday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m. that day, investigators claim Garretson handed a note to the bank tellers claiming to have a gun and demanding money. She got away from the bank before law enforcement officers arrived.

Her husband, Gary Garretson, is charged as an accessory.

Both were being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
