Storm Damage Briefing Saturday In Charleston

Governor Earl Ray Tomblin will be conducting a storm damage assessment briefing in Charleston Saturday.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is scheduled to accompany Gov. Tomblin during the briefing in order to see first hand the effects of Hurricane Sandy on the region.

“I’m extremely grateful for all of the support the Secretary has provided so far, and I’m very thankful she has come to see how the federal government can continue helping folks around the state,” said Gov. Tomblin.

The briefing is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the FEMA Staging Area at the West Virginia Army National Guard base on Coonskin Drive.

A press conference will immediately follow the briefing.
