McCartney Leaves Team

West Virginia University football coach Dana Holgorsen has announced that junior receiver Ivan McCartney has left the team for personal reasons. Holgorsen will have no further comment.

McCartney had just nine catches on the year for 112 yards and no touchdowns. Expectations were higher for him coming into the season after he had 49 catches for 585 yards and three touchdowns in 2011.

The move comes just days after freshman receiver Travares Copeland left the team last week.
