Last week: Defeated Nitro, 52-6
This week: vs. Hurricane
Ranking last week: 4

This week: vs. Parkersburg South
Ranking last week: 5

This week: vs. James Monroe
Ranking last week: 3

This week: vs. Poca
Ranking last week: 4
WVSSAC ranking last week: 7

Also receiving votes:
Summers County 15, Fairmont Senior 4, Wyoming East 2, Mingo Central 1

Class A

RANK TEAM POINTS
1 MADONNA (8-0) 88 (16)
Last week: Defeated Steubenville Central, Oh. 22-17
This week: at Toronto, Oh.
Ranking last week: 1
WVSSAC ranking last week: T-1
Notes: In a battle unbeatens, Madonna overcame a 17-8 halftime deficit to knock off Steubenville Central (OH) last week. Blue Dons’ quarterback Ross Comis played with an injured shoulder, but scored two fourth quarter touchdowns in the impressive win.
2 ST. MARYS (8-0) 67 (2)
Last week: Defeated South Harrison, 42-0
This week: at Ravenswood
Ranking last week: 2
WVSSAC ranking last week: T-1
Notes: After a shutout win over South Harrison, the Blue Devils have an intriguing matchup at Class AA Ravenswood (5-3) this week – a team in need of a win to help secure a playoff spot.
3 WAHAMA (7-1) 37
Last week: Bye
This week: vs. Miller, Oh.
Ranking last week: 3
WVSSAC ranking last week: 8
Notes: Wahama will be well-rested after the bye this past week – the defending champion White Falcons, though, will struggle to gain much ground in the playoff (WVSSAC) ratings with games looming against Miller (2-7) and rival Buffalo (0-8).
4 MOOREFIELD (7-1) 23
Last week: Bye
This week: vs. Pendleton County
Ranking last week: 4
WVSSAC ranking last week: 4
Notes: Moorefield is right on the edge of securing two home playoff games in the SSAC ratings. Like Wahama, remaining games against Pendleton County (2-6) and Tygarts Valley (0-8) won’t offer much of an opportunity in bonus points.
5 VALLEY (FAYETTE) (8-0) 21
Last week: Defeated Richwood, 40-9
This week: at Midland Trail
Ranking last week: 5
WVSSAC ranking last week: 3
Notes: Valley (Fayette) had a slow start last week against Richwood, but poured on the points in the second half for the 31-point win. Dante Wilkerson ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, while Keyshawn Payne added 104 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in the win.
