PRICHARD, W.Va. — A special announcement is expected Tuesday from Italian automotive component manufacturer Allevard Sogefi.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin will join Allevard Sogefi executives for an economic development announcement at the company’s Prichard manufacturing plant.
A press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the plant located on Round Bottom Road.
The announcement comes on the heels of a meeting Governor Tomblin had with Sogefi Group CEO Guglielmo Fiocchi during his European 13-day investment mission last month.
The Prichard manufacturing plant currently produces automotive engine filter systems as well as stabilizer bars for vehicle suspensions. The plant was first opened in 2004.
Allevard Sogefi employs more than 7,000 people worldwide and has a global presence in 4 continents and 13 countries.
