Another contract vote expected this week for Cabell Huntington workers

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Another contract vote could come as soon as Wednesday for members of health care workers union SEIU 1199 who work at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Those LPNs, lab and maintenance workers turned down the last offer earlier this month. The union then issued a 10-day strike notice. A strike is set to start Friday unless there’s a new deal. Negotiations resumed Tuesday.

The union said Cabell Huntington is asking it to make too many concessions and should be sharing its profits. The hospital said it believes it made a fair offer.
