Hunter suffers broken neck

RIDGELEY, W.Va. — The state Division of Natural Resources said a hunter was seriously injured Friday in Mineral County getting ready for the opening of deer gun season Monday.

DNR Police said Trent Bradshaw, 29, of Ridgeley fell nine feet while hanging his tree stand. Bradshaw suffered a broken neck. He remains hospitalized.

Bradshaw was on private property when the accident occurred.
