One-car crash claims life in Fayette County

OAK HILL, W.Va. — A woman was killed in a car wreck Thursday morning according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash took place at about 10:30 a.m. on Pea Ridge Road near Oak Hill.

Deputies said the driver lost control of her car and it went over an embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
